When does spd start in pregnancy?

I've started feeling some pain around my pubic bone area, especially when walking. A friend mentioned SPD. If it is that, when does Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction typically start in pregnancy?

Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) can begin at any point during pregnancy, but it's more commonly reported in the second or third trimester as hormonal changes loosen ligaments and the baby grows, putting more pressure on the pelvis. If you experience persistent pelvic pain, especially around your pubic bone, please consult your gynaecologist for a proper diagnosis and management plan.

I ignored some pelvic discomfort in my wife's previous pregnancy, thinking it was normal. Turned out it was SPD and it got really bad. So, please don't wait! SPD can start anytime, but often in the second trimester. If you feel any pubic pain, especially when walking or changing positions, tell your doctor ASAP. Early management helps a lot.

SPD is mainly related to ligament laxity and pelvic structure, so diet doesn't directly cause or prevent it. However, a balanced diet with enough calcium and vitamin D is always good for bone and joint health during pregnancy. It generally starts in the second or third trimester. Make sure you discuss it with your doctor for physical therapy recommendations.

Ho na, SPD ka pain toh bohot unpredictable hota hai. Kisi ko second trimester mein start ho jaata hai, especially when the belly starts growing. Sometimes even third trimester. The main thing is to not ignore it, your doctor can give good exercises and advice. Take care, haan!

It's totally understandable to be concerned about new pains in pregnancy, especially something like SPD. It can indeed start anywhere from the second trimester as your body changes. Don't let the worry consume you; just ensure you talk to your doctor so you can get proper guidance and feel better.

I've read so much about SPD and it sounds incredibly painful! It seems like it can start quite early for some, even in the late first trimester, but for most, it's more noticeable in the second or third trimester when the pelvic ligaments get looser. If you feel any discomfort, don't hesitate to check with your doctor, even if it feels minor, just to ease your mind.

Listen, SPD can be really uncomfortable, but it's manageable. It often starts showing up in the second or third trimester, typically as your body prepares for birth and ligaments soften. Just be gentle with yourself, avoid heavy lifting, and definitely speak to your doctor about it. They might recommend a physiotherapist.

My sister just had a baby, and she had SPD. For her, it started around 20-22 weeks, so like mid-second trimester. She said it was super annoying, especially getting up from bed. So yeah, mostly second or third trimester, but def talk to a doc if you feel pain.

SPD? I haven't heard of that before. So it's pain in the pelvic area? Does it feel like a sharp pain or more like an ache? And does it usually get worse towards the end of pregnancy? Hope it's not too common.
