When does pregnancy insomnia start?

I'm finding it really hard to fall asleep and stay asleep lately, even though I'm so tired during the day. I'm in my second trimester. When does pregnancy insomnia usually start?

Pregnancy insomnia? Oh, that starts when your bladder decides it needs a midnight stroll every hour, or your brain starts a full-on construction project at 3 AM! 😂 Seriously though, it often kicks in during the third trimester, preparing you for newborn life!

Insomnia can be a challenging part of pregnancy. It often starts in the first trimester due to hormonal shifts and then can worsen in the third due to discomfort. Gentle exercise earlier in the day and avoiding heavy meals before bed can aid sleep. Ensure you're staying hydrated too.

Sleep problems can start quite early, even in the first trimester for some due to hormones, but usually get worse in the third. Try to establish a good bedtime routine. Warm milk, a comfortable pillow, and no phone before bed can help. Don't worry too much, it's normal.

My wife used a sleep tracker and it clearly showed her sleep patterns changing from the first trimester itself. Insomnia can start then, due to hormones and anxiety, and it often peaks in the third trimester due to physical discomfort. Try meditation apps for better sleep.

Oh, I totally panicked when I couldn't sleep properly in my first trimester! I thought something was terribly wrong. But everyone reassured me it's super common. It can start early due to hormones, and then later due to discomfort. It's frustrating, but normal. You're not alone!

It's quite common for sleep to be disrupted during pregnancy. It can start anytime, sometimes early in the first trimester, and often becomes more pronounced later on. Try to relax and rest whenever you can.
