While colostrum (the first milk) production begins around the second trimester, actual leakage can vary greatly. Some women start noticing it in their third trimester, others not until after delivery. It's a normal physiological variation. If you have concerns, your obstetrician can provide accurate guidance.
My wife experienced some leakage in her third trimester, maybe around 30-32 weeks. It wasn't constant, just occasionally. For some, it might not happen at all until after the baby is born. So, my personal experience says it's not fixed, depends on the person.
Milk leakage can happen anytime in the third trimester, or sometimes not at all. If it starts, simple cotton breast pads work well to absorb it and prevent stains. Don't overspend on special products. Just keep comfortable and hygienic.
