When does lightning crotch happen in pregnancy?

Recently, I've been having sharp, shooting pains in my pelvic area, especially when I move a certain way. My friend said it might be 'lightning crotch'. When does this typically start happening during pregnancy?

Lightning crotch, yeah, heard about that. It's mostly in the third trimester. I'd say maintaining core strength and some light pelvic floor exercises (if cleared by your doc) might help support the area, but it's largely hormonal and baby position. Keep up with your activity.

Oh god, lightning crotch, ho na? That pain is so sudden and sharp! For me it started around 34-35 weeks, like baby was hitting a nerve. It's very common in late pregnancy, so don't worry too much. Bas thoda rest kar lo jab ho.

Lightning crotch, medically known as symphysis pubis dysfunction or nerve pain, is quite common in the third trimester as the baby descends and puts pressure on nerves. It can be sharp and sudden. It's generally normal, but always good to mention it to your OBGYN during check-ups.

Ah, this 'lightning crotch' people talk about now, I think my wife felt something similar in her last few weeks. It's just the baby settling down, I suppose. It's a sign that things are progressing well towards the delivery. Don't worry, it's part of the process.

Oh my god, I totally panicked when I first felt lightning crotch! It felt like electric shocks, seriously. I was around 36 weeks. But then my doctor explained it's just the baby moving and pressing on nerves. It's scary but normal, so don't freak out like I did!
