When does fatigue start in pregnancy?

Just found out I'm pregnant and I'm already feeling so drained all the time. Is this normal? Around what week or month does this extreme fatigue generally start for pregnant women?

The exhaustion in pregnancy is a natural process, often beginning quite early, around 6-8 weeks. It is your body working hard for a new life. Embrace it, rest when needed, and maintain a positive spirit. Take good care of yourself, dear one.

Beti, this tiredness starts very soon when you are pregnant, mostly after 6-8 weeks. Your body works very hard inside. So, listen to your body and rest properly. Don't worry, it is normal.

My wife said fatigue starts the moment the pregnancy test turns positive! But seriously, she was completely wiped out from about 6 weeks into her first trimester. So yeah, super early. Prepare for naps, lots of naps.

My cousin sister just had a baby, and she was complaining about being exhausted super early, like from the second month only. So yeah, it starts pretty quick, I guess around 6-8 weeks for most.

With PCOS, managing hormones is already a challenge, so adding pregnancy can really increase fatigue. Typically, the intense tiredness starts quite early, around 6-8 weeks into the first trimester. It's really important to prioritize rest and discuss it with your doctor, don't just assume it's normal as it could also indicate other issues.

Most commonly, the significant fatigue in pregnancy kicks in during the first trimester, usually between 6 to 8 weeks. Your body is undergoing a lot of changes, so increased progesterone levels and metabolic demands contribute to this. It's very normal, but do ensure you're getting enough iron and rest.
