When do you start dilating in pregnancy?

I'm getting closer to my due date and learning about the different stages of labor. My friend told me about dilation and how important it is. When do women typically start dilating during pregnancy, or does it only happen during labor?

Dilating typically starts during labor, which is usually in the last few weeks of pregnancy, or sometimes even days before your due date. It can be a very gradual process. Some women might experience 'pre-labor' contractions that cause a little dilation before active labor, but true dilation for delivery happens when your body prepares for birth.

Dilation happens when the time of birth is near, in the last weeks or when labor starts. It is God's way of preparing your body. Just keep a positive mind, take good care, and trust that your body knows what to do. Everything will happen at the right time.

Dilating usually begins when you're in active labor, or sometimes a few days to a week before your due date, very gradually. With my first, I didn't dilate much until contractions were strong. For the second, I was already 1cm dilated at 38 weeks. Every body is different, so don't compare too much. Just listen to your body and your doctor.

From what I've heard and experienced, you usually start dilating when you're actually in labor, or very close to it, typically in your last few weeks. Sometimes it's a slow process beforehand, but the main dilation happens when things really get going. It's different for everyone.

Dilation typically begins during labor, or in the very late stages of pregnancy as the body prepares for birth. It's a key part of the delivery process.

Dilation usually starts when you're entering labor, or sometimes a little bit in the last weeks of pregnancy. It's a sign your body is getting ready. If you feel anything unusual, like consistent contractions or fluid leakage, don't ignore it like I once did with a smaller issue. Always call your doctor or hospital immediately to get it checked out.

Betiyan, dilation happens mostly when the time of delivery comes, in the last month or so. The body starts opening slowly. Don't worry, your doctor will check and tell you everything. Just be happy and strong.

Dilation is a natural process that primarily occurs during labor, as the body prepares for birth, typically in the later weeks of the third trimester. Sometimes, gentle uterine contractions in the last month can cause some very gradual, minor dilation. Focusing on relaxation through pranayama can help prepare your body and mind for this natural progression.

Dilation is a medical process that signals the start of labor or imminent delivery, usually in the last weeks of pregnancy. Don't rely on random internet info for this; your doctor will monitor your progress during check-ups. Any advice on 'speeding up' dilation should be taken with a huge grain of salt and cleared with your medical professional.
