When do people usually announce pregnancy?

We just got a positive pregnancy test and are over the moon! My mother says to wait a bit before telling everyone. When do people usually announce their pregnancy to friends and family?

Haha, I announced mine right after I couldn't stop thinking about a specific type of chaat for three days straight! But seriously, most people wait till the 12-week scan is done. Then it's safe to start planning all the celebration food!

Based on medical recommendations, many couples choose to announce after the first trimester, specifically after the 12-week mark. This is because the risk of miscarriage significantly decreases after this period, and the initial developmental stages are complete. My doctor advised the same to us.

The common practice is to wait until after 12 weeks, post the first trimester. For me, with my thyroid issues, I waited for my reports to be stable and had discussed it with my endocrinologist. Regular check-ups are very important.

Simple hai, log generally 3 mahine ke baad hi batate hain. Tab tak sab scans ho jaate hain aur thoda certainty aa jati hai. Family ko pehle bata sakte ho, but public announcement usually tabhi hota hai.

It's generally recommended to wait until the first trimester is over, around 12-14 weeks, as the early risks are lower. If managing conditions like diabetes, it's crucial to have your sugar levels stable and discussed with your doctor before any big announcements. Safety first, always.

With my first, we announced after the first trimester, around 14 weeks. It gave us time to digest the news and ensure everything was progressing well. It's a personal journey, so take your time and do what feels right for your family.

Beta, don't worry too much about a 'right' time. Traditionally, people would wait till the baby bump started showing or after the first few months. Now, with all the tests, many wait for the 3-month scan. Choose when you feel happy and secure to share.

Honestly, I was so anxious about when to announce, thinking there was some rule! But most people wait for the 12-week scan results, which is completely normal. It's really about when you and your partner feel comfortable sharing the happy news.

People announce when they can finally get a good night's sleep and feel less like a walking zombie, haha! Mostly after the first trimester, when the morning sickness settles a bit and the doctors give the all-clear. Makes sense.

From a practical standpoint, waiting until after the first trimester (around 12 weeks) makes sense. By then, morning sickness usually subsides a bit, and you can get back to a more consistent, healthy routine. It gives you time to adapt.

Most people wait till the 12-week mark, after the first trimester screening. It's a personal choice, but this period is often considered safer for announcing. Also, by then, you might have a clearer idea about any dietary changes the doctor recommends.

Many in our family wait until the fifth month, but modern doctors advise after the first scan, which is typically around 12 weeks. We told our very close family early, but for others, it was after the doctor confirmed everything was fine.
