When do people announce pregnancy?

My husband and I just found out we're expecting, and we're so excited! We're not sure when to tell everyone though. When do people usually announce their pregnancy to family and friends?

Most people find peace in waiting until the end of the first trimester, around 12-14 weeks, when the initial risks are significantly lower. It's a personal journey, so listen to your heart and share when it feels truly right for you. Keep calm and cherish the quiet moments.

Generally, people wait until the first three months are over, that is, after 12 weeks. This is considered a safer period. For small things, we have home remedies, but for pregnancy, the doctor's guidance is paramount. So, do what your doctor advises for announcing and for everything else.

From what I've seen on Instagram and with my older cousins, it's usually after the first three months. Like, when they get past that 12-week mark. I guess it's a safer time to share the news widely. But some people tell close family earlier also.

Typically, many couples choose to announce their pregnancy after the first trimester, which is around 12-14 weeks. This is because the risk of miscarriage significantly decreases after this period. However, it's a deeply personal decision, and there's no single right answer. Always consult your gynaecologist for personalized advice on safety.

I'm just 8 weeks pregnant and I'm so excited, but also a bit scared to announce. Everyone says wait for 12 weeks. Did others feel this way too, like it's a secret that you just can't keep but should?
