When do mood swings start in pregnancy?

My sister-in-law is pregnant and she's been very emotional lately. We were discussing when these mood swings actually start in pregnancy. Any idea?

From my experience with hormonal imbalances due to PCOS, I know how much hormones affect mood. In pregnancy, those swings can start very early, even before you confirm pregnancy! It's due to the rapid changes in hormones. Be kind to yourself, it's a lot for your body.

When do they *start*? More like, when do they *end*?! 😂 My wife was a roller coaster from week 6 till delivery. All those hormones, man! Just be prepared to be extra patient and always have a chocolate bar handy for the expecting mom!

I've heard from my friends that it can start really early, sometimes even before the first missed period! It's all the hormonal changes, you know. Just try to be patient with yourself and get lots of rest, that's what everyone advises.

Oh, mood swings, haan! I remember those days. For me, they started in the first few weeks only, especially in the mornings. It's very common, all because of the hormones preparing your body. Just remember it's temporary and talk to your husband or family, they will understand.

My elder sister was super moody in her first trimester, like, even more than her PMS! 😂 So yeah, I guess it starts super early, when all those pregnancy hormones kick in. She used to crave weird stuff and then cry, haha. Totally relatable, from what I've seen!

Mood swings in pregnancy are primarily hormonal, similar to how blood sugar fluctuations can affect my mood. They often begin in the first trimester. It's important to maintain a balanced diet and stable blood sugar levels, which can also help manage energy and emotional stability during this time.
