When do food aversions start in pregnancy?

Some foods I used to love now just smell horrible to me. I'm only a few weeks pregnant, so I'm wondering when food aversions typically start during pregnancy?

Food aversions can be so tough emotionally, it felt like nothing tasted right for weeks! Mine started really early, around 6-7 weeks, and even the smell of my favorite foods made me sick. It's completely normal, but it's okay to feel frustrated by it.

Food aversions often kick in during the first trimester. While dealing with them, remember to keep up with gentle exercise like walking, if your doctor permits. It can help with overall well-being and managing nausea, making it easier to keep healthy foods down.

Food aversions typically start in the first trimester, around weeks 6-8. For a working professional, this can be challenging. My realistic advice: keep simple, bland snacks handy at work that you know you can tolerate, like dry fruits or simple biscuits, and prioritize small, frequent meals to keep nausea at bay.

Most women start experiencing food aversions during the first trimester, typically around 6 to 8 weeks. It's your hormones doing their thing! Try to find foods you can tolerate, even if it's just plain rice or toast, and don't force yourself to eat things that make you feel ill. It usually subsides by the second trimester.

Food aversions can definitely begin early in pregnancy, often in the first trimester. If you're vegetarian, this can make it harder to get certain nutrients if you suddenly dislike your usual protein sources. Focus on finding a few nutritious foods you can stomach, and definitely consult a dietitian if concerned about nutritional gaps.
