When do cravings start during pregnancy?

Everyone talks about pregnancy cravings, but I haven't really had any strong ones yet. I'm 8 weeks along, so I was wondering when these cravings usually kick in for most pregnant women?

Cravings can start fairly early, sometimes even before you officially confirm pregnancy. It's crucial to acknowledge them but also maintain a balanced diet. If you're vegetarian, ensure you're getting all essential nutrients, even with cravings. Speak to a nutritionist if you're worried.

For me (well, my wife!), cravings hit around 6-7 weeks like a truck! One day she wanted sour mangoes, the next day chocolate ice cream. It's like your taste buds go on a world tour, haha! Enjoy the ride, just keep it healthy.

Cravings are very common, often starting in the first trimester. If you have existing conditions like thyroid issues, hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect it. Keep up with your regular thyroid tests and always discuss any strong cravings or new symptoms with your doctor.

From a clinical perspective, pregnancy cravings usually manifest during the first trimester, typically between 5 and 8 weeks. They can be quite strong and specific due to hormonal fluctuations. It's a normal part of pregnancy, but discuss any unusual cravings or dietary concerns with your obstetrician.

Sweetie, cravings are a very normal and well-known part of pregnancy, often showing up in the first few weeks, even before morning sickness for some. Your body is undergoing huge changes, so it's natural to have different desires. Just try to keep a balance and don't worry too much.
