When do braxton hicks start in pregnancy?

My friend mentioned Braxton Hicks contractions and said they can be confusing. I'm wondering at what stage of pregnancy these typically start so I know what to expect.

Braxton Hicks? Oh, that's when your belly gets all tight like you've eaten too much biryani! 😂 They can start as early as the second trimester, but most women feel them more in the third. It's just your uterus doing its warm-up exercises.

Braxton Hicks can be quite confusing, haan? I started feeling them mildly in my second trimester, around 20 weeks. They are usually not painful, just a tightening sensation. Staying hydrated and changing positions helped me. If they get regular or painful, definitely talk to your doc.

My wife started feeling them around 20 weeks, I think. She said her belly would just tighten up for a bit, no pain. Our doc told us it's totally normal, just practice for later. But real contractions are different, he said.

Braxton Hicks are common, typically starting in the second trimester. However, it's crucial to understand the difference between these and actual labour contractions. If you're unsure or experience pain, don't guess based on online info; always consult your gynaecologist immediately to rule out any complications.
