When can i sleep on my side after shoulder surgery?

My shoulder surgery was about a month ago. I'm still sleeping on my back and it's getting very difficult to get a good night's rest. When can I finally switch to sleeping on my side? Is there a general timeframe for this?

After my shoulder surgery, my doctor advised me to avoid sleeping on the operated side for at least 6 to 8 weeks. I had to sleep mostly on my back, sometimes a little propped up. It was uncomfortable, but it's crucial for the shoulder to heal properly. Just follow what your surgeon says.

Oh, shoulder surgery sounds intense! I'd be so worried about rolling over in my sleep. From what I've heard, you absolutely cannot sleep on the operated side for quite a long time, usually several weeks, maybe even months. And often, you have to sleep propped up. Please, please listen to your doctor very carefully.

Post-shoulder surgery recovery requires careful attention, much like a specific diet. Sleeping on your back, possibly slightly elevated, is usually recommended for a significant period, often 6 to 12 weeks, to protect the shoulder. Eating nutritious, healing foods also supports overall recovery during this time.

After a surgery, patience and care are virtues. For shoulder surgery, it is best to avoid sleeping on the side that has been operated on for many weeks, perhaps even months, as advised by your doctor. Trust in the healing process and focus on positivity during your recovery journey.

This is exactly what makes me nervous about shoulder surgery! How long did it take everyone to feel comfortable enough to even try sleeping on their side? And what if you accidentally turn over? Did anyone else struggle with this fear of re-injury while sleeping?

Ho na, after shoulder surgery, it's a long wait for side sleeping. Generally, surgeons say no for at least 6-8 weeks, sometimes even 3 months, depending on the type of surgery. You have to sleep on your back, often with a sling, haan na. It's tough but necessary.

Bhai, after shoulder surgery, you need to be very careful. No sleeping on that operated side for a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks, sometimes even longer. Your surgeon will tell you exactly. It's for your own good, don't mess with recovery.

Just like managing sugar levels post-diabetes diagnosis, post-surgery care requires discipline. After shoulder surgery, it is typically advised to avoid sleeping on the affected side for several weeks, often 6-12 weeks, to allow proper healing and prevent re-injury. Adherence to your doctor's instructions is crucial for a good recovery.
