What type of cancer causes loss of appetite?

My father has completely lost his appetite for the past few weeks, and he's losing weight rapidly. We're very concerned, as he used to love food. Could this severe loss of appetite be a sign of a particular type of cancer?

Loss of appetite is a serious symptom, and when coupled with weight loss, it should always be investigated. As someone who manages BP, I know how important regular checkups are. Many cancers, especially those of the digestive system like stomach or pancreatic cancer, can cause this. Please consult a doctor immediately.

Ram Ram! If your bhojan (food) doesn't feel good, and you don't feel like eating, it's not a good sign. Our elders always said a good appetite means good health. Please show to a doctor, they can give medicine or advice. Don't stay hungry, it weakens the body.

Bete, loss of appetite can happen for many reasons, sometimes just stress or a small infection. But if it's been going on for a long time and you're also losing weight, it's wise to go to the doctor. Don't worry too much though, just get it checked properly. Sometimes even simple deficiencies cause these things.
