What tog sleep sack for baby?

My baby is 6 months old and I'm thinking of getting a sleep sack for him, especially since the weather is changing. I'm a bit confused about the TOG ratings. What TOG sleep sack should I buy for a comfortable night's sleep?

Bro, for our baby, we just matched it to the room temperature. Like, if it's kinda warm, go for 0.5 or 1 tog. If it's cooler, then 2.5. We mostly used 1 tog here in Delhi. My wife looked it up online, it’s pretty standard advice.

Yaar, it totally depends on your room temperature, actually. Like in Mumbai, most of the year 0.5 or 1 tog is enough. If you have AC running low, then maybe 2.5. Best to check the brand's guide, they usually have a chart for room temp.

Our pediatrician specifically told us to aim for a room temperature around 20-22 degrees Celsius. For that, she recommended a 1.0 tog sleep sack with a cotton bodysuit. If the room was colder, like 18-20 degrees, then a 2.5 tog was advised. It's all about keeping baby comfortable without overheating.

We always used a 1.0 tog for our little one in Chennai, just with a simple onesie underneath. When it got slightly colder, we'd go up to 2.5 tog and maybe a full-sleeve onesie. Never felt comfortable giving medical advice, but this worked for us.

Oh, this is a good question. I'm also wondering about this for my sister's baby. So, it mainly depends on the room temperature, right? And what if the AC is on, should we still use a higher tog then?
