Oh, postpartum hair loss was a shock for me! I completely understand. What I personally found helpful was taking my postnatal vitamins regularly and using a mild, sulfate-free shampoo. Also, trying to de-stress a bit, though that's easier said than done with a newborn! It eventually slowed down.
I had terrible hair fall after my first baby. My doctor explained it's hormonal. She suggested continuing my iron and calcium supplements, and eating a well-balanced diet. Also, she said to be gentle with my hair, avoid tight hairstyles. It does get better with time, but do talk to your gynaecologist.
For me, even with diabetes, postpartum hair loss was quite significant. I focused on a protein-rich diet with good fats, and kept my blood sugar levels in check. Postpartum hair loss? More like 'post-baby bald patches'! 😂 It was scary. I swear I saw more hair on the floor than on my head. Just keep taking your supplements, eat well, and try not to stress too much. It usually sorts itself out as hormones rebalance, thankfully.
