What to expect at 21 weeks of pregnancy?

I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with my first baby and everything feels new! Just curious to know what kind of changes or milestones I should be expecting around this time, both for me and the baby. Any tips or advice from other moms would be great.

Around 21 weeks, your baby is getting super active! You'll probably feel those kicks more regularly. I tracked mine with an app, it was fun to see the patterns. Also, check for your fundal height at your next appointment, it's a good indicator of baby's growth. Stay hydrated!

At 21 weeks, you're halfway there! Start looking into maternity insurance if you haven't already, delivery costs can be high. Also, think about any necessary baby gear purchases and plan your budget for them. It's good to be prepared financially.

At 21 weeks, if you have gestational diabetes or are at risk, it's crucial to be extra mindful of your diet. Keep tracking your blood sugar, focusing on low-GI foods, and ensuring regular small meals. You'll likely have your glucose screening test around this time, so be prepared for that.

Around 21 weeks, your body is changing quite a bit. Gentle prenatal yoga or just simple walking can be very beneficial for easing any back discomfort and improving circulation. Focus on deep, calming breaths (pranayama) to stay relaxed. Listen to your body and don't overdo anything.

Wow, 21 weeks means the baby is growing so much! Is this when people usually find out the gender, if they want to? And do you start getting a lot more tired again, or is the second trimester still the 'easy' one?

21 weeks is roughly halfway point! You're probably feeling more kicks now, and your bump is definitely showing. Energy levels usually go up in the second trimester. Just continue with your prenatal vitamins, stay active, and enjoy this phase. Your next ultrasound might be around the corner.
