What to do when baby has fever 1 year old?

My son is just over a year old, and he's running a slight fever right now. I'm a bit worried since he's so small. What are the best things to do when a baby around 1 year old has a fever?

Oh god, a 1-year-old with fever is so scary! I remember when my niece had a fever, I was so worried. Did anyone else feel their heart race? We gave her paracetamol as per the doctor's dose and kept sponging her. Is that what you all do too?

With babies, especially this young, you absolutely cannot take chances. My neighbor's baby developed complications from a high fever that wasn't managed properly at home. Please, don't just rely on home remedies. Get them to a pediatrician immediately for proper diagnosis and treatment. It's not worth the risk.

Aww, poor little one! It's tough when they are so small. My cousin's baby had a fever last month. They were advised to give paracetamol drops (child-specific dose) and do sponge baths with lukewarm water. Hydration is also very important, so keep offering breastmilk/formula/water. And definitely call the pediatrician!

It's so heartbreaking to see your tiny baby unwell and burning with fever. I cried so much when my little one had a high temperature. Just remember, it's okay to feel overwhelmed. Keep them comfortable, give prescribed fever meds, and don't hesitate to call your pediatrician for reassurance or if you feel something isn't right.

Okay, for a 1-year-old with fever, the main goals are to reduce the temperature and keep them comfortable. Administering a child-appropriate dose of acetaminophen (like Crocin) or ibuprofen (like Ibugesic) as prescribed by your pediatrician is key. Lukewarm sponge baths can help. Observe for any other symptoms like rashes or difficulty breathing, and definitely consult your doctor.

Listen, with kids, especially a one-year-old, don't EVER try to be a hero and wait it out. I once thought my kid's fever was 'just a viral' and delayed seeing the doctor, and it ended up being worse. Always, always get them checked by a pediatrician when they're running a fever. It's better to be safe than have regrets.
