For mild heat exhaustion, bringing the person to a shady place, applying wet cloths on their skin, and giving them ORS or coconut water works wonderfully. But if they have a very high fever or are unconscious, it is a heat stroke and they need immediate emergency hospital care.
If someone collapses or gets confused in extreme heat, it's a severe heat stroke. You must cool them down instantly with cold water or ice packs and rush them to a hospital. For general workouts in summers, always pre-hydrate with electrolytes to prevent this.
A real heat stroke is a clinical emergency because the body's cooling mechanism fails completely. Move the person to an AC room, apply ice packs to their underarms and neck, and call an ambulance immediately. Hospital treatment involves IV fluids and rapid cooling protocols.
My son got severely dehydrated during a sports day. If it escalates to a heat stroke with high fever and confusion, do not try to treat it at home. Sponge them with cool water immediately and take them straight to the doctor.
A heat stroke is a medical emergency, not a simple sunburn. If someone is dizzy, vomiting, or passing out, skip home remedies. Take them to the nearest hospital ER for immediate IV hydration and professional cooling.

During extreme summer heat, please stay safe and keep a bowl of water outside for birds too. If someone gets a heat stroke, cool their body immediately with a wet sheet and take them to a nearby clinic for saline fluids. Take care.
