What is the most common cause of unexplained weight loss?

My sister has been losing weight without trying, and she's a bit worried about it. She's been eating normally, but the weight is just shedding off. What is usually the most common reason for unexplained weight loss?

Beta, sometimes when we worry too much, our body starts acting strange. Stress can do a lot. Also, check if your diet has changed without you noticing. Maybe try some light yoga and eat on time. But if it's too much, doctor ko dikha dena.

Unexplained weight loss can be worrying, and then all the tests start adding up. Make sure to discuss with your doctor what tests are actually necessary first, otherwise, bills can get very high. Prioritize the basic blood work first.

Look, unexplained weight loss is a red flag. Could be thyroid, could be something more serious. Don't self-diagnose. Go to a good physician, get your blood tests done – CBC, thyroid panel, blood sugar. Fast and clear answers are important.

I went through this last year. Lost like 5-6 kgs without trying. Turns out it was an overactive thyroid. The doctor gave me medication and now my weight is stable. Don't ignore it, get your thyroid levels checked for sure.

Hey yaar, don't stress too much about it, but definitely get it checked. Sometimes it's just stress or a minor gut issue. My friend had this, and it turned out to be a vitamin deficiency. So, better to consult a doc, but don't panic okay?

Oh, unexplained weight loss... I've heard about this before but never really understood what causes it. Is it always something serious, or can it be due to things like diet changes that we don't realize? Like, even small changes?
