What is the best treatment for diabetic neuropathy in feet?

My father has diabetic neuropathy in his feet, and he's constantly in pain and numbness. We've tried a few medications, but they don't seem to help much. What's the best treatment out there for this?

For diabetic neuropathy, good blood sugar control is paramount, I track mine meticulously with a continuous glucose monitor. My doctor also prescribed some specific medications for nerve pain, and I use an app for guided foot exercises. Regular foot checks are also super important to prevent any complications, especially if you have reduced sensation.

Diabetic neuropathy is tricky. For mild discomfort, keeping your feet warm with good socks and doing gentle foot massages might help circulation. Some people find certain Ayurvedic oils soothing. But please, if you have numbness, tingling, or any wounds that don't heal, you absolutely must see a doctor immediately. Natural remedies are for comfort, not cure here.

Managing blood sugar is central to controlling neuropathy. I incorporate gentle yoga and pranayama to improve circulation and calm the nervous system, which has helped me. Specific asanas that involve foot movements, done mindfully, can also be beneficial. But this should always be an add-on to your doctor's medical treatment, never a replacement.

Honestly, the best treatment for diabetic neuropathy in feet starts with strict diabetes management – consistent diet, medication, and exercise. Then, your doctor will likely prescribe meds to alleviate the nerve pain. Regular foot care, like checking for cuts or blisters daily, is non-negotiable to prevent infections. It's a daily commitment, but crucial for long-term health.

Yaar, diabetic neuropathy in feet can be really annoying and painful, actually. My uncle has it. He has to be super careful with his blood sugar levels, that's number one. And the doc gave him some special cream and tablets for the tingling. Plus, he always wears comfortable shoes. Don't take it lightly, pls get a good doctor to check your feet regularly.
