What is the best dandruff treatment?

Since last month, I've had terrible dandruff, and it's making my hair look dull and unhealthy. I'm tired of the itching and flakes falling on my shoulders. Can someone suggest the best dandruff treatment that actually clears it up for good?

For dandruff, I found that just regularly washing hair, like 2-3 times a week, and using a decent anti-dandruff shampoo does the trick. No need for very expensive stuff, even Head & Shoulders works for many. Also, make sure your scalp isn't too oily or too dry. Simple things help the most.

I totally get it, dandruff can be so annoying and embarrassing! The best treatment really depends on what's causing it. For many, a good anti-fungal shampoo with ingredients like ketoconazole or zinc pyrithione works wonders. You have to be consistent with it, though!

Beti, for dandruff, many people find relief with simple things like massaging warm curd into the scalp and washing it after some time. Neem paste can also help. But if it is very bad and itchy, then it's always good to show it to a doctor. Sometimes these home remedies don't work for severe problems, so be careful.

I'm just researching for a friend, but it seems like there are so many options for dandruff! Some say apple cider vinegar, others say specific shampoos. It feels a bit overwhelming. Is there a general starting point people usually recommend before going to a doctor?

The most effective over-the-counter treatments for dandruff typically contain active ingredients like ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione, or selenium sulfide. These help control the yeast (Malassezia) that often causes dandruff. For more stubborn cases, a dermatologist can prescribe stronger options or rule out other skin conditions. Consistency is key with any treatment.

Yo! Dandruff is a pain, man. I had it pretty bad. Tried a lot of stuff. What actually worked for me was using a ketoconazole shampoo like twice a week and then a regular mild shampoo on other days. Also, don't use too much oil, that makes it worse for me. And wash your pillowcases often!

Dandruff is literally the bane of my existence, yaar! I tried a lot of home remedies but what actually works is a good anti-dandruff shampoo that my mom bought. It has some fancy name with 'keto' in it. Also, try not to scratch too much, it makes it worse.
