What is pregnancy line on stomach?

I'm pregnant with my first baby, and I've noticed a dark line appearing on my stomach, from my belly button downwards. My mother-in-law said it's normal. What is this 'pregnancy line' on the stomach and why does it appear?

The pregnancy line on the stomach is called the linea nigra. It's a dark line that appears due to hormonal changes, typically running from your navel to the pubic area. While it's a common and normal part of pregnancy, it usually fades on its own after childbirth. No need to worry, but always discuss any concerns with your doctor.

That line, beta, is called linea nigra. It's very common during pregnancy. My mother-in-law used to say it's a sign of the baby growing well. It's due to hormones and usually fades after the baby is born. No special treatment needed, but if you have doubts, always ask your doctor.

The pregnancy line on the stomach is called linea nigra, totally normal. It's just pigmentation. Like how my doctor tells me to monitor BP regularly, during pregnancy, these skin changes are common. No real health concern with the line, it usually disappears over time. But if you're ever worried about anything else during pregnancy, checkups are important.

Ah, the linea nigra! Almost every pregnant woman gets it. It's a dark line that appears on your belly, caused by pregnancy hormones increasing melanin production. It's harmless and will usually fade significantly or disappear completely a few months after you give birth. So, no need to stress about it!
