Pregnancy glow is definitely real, I had it with both my kids! It's often due to increased blood volume, which gives your skin a flushed, radiant look, and also hormonal changes that make skin oilier. Hydrate well and eat fresh fruits; it enhances that natural glow.
From what I experienced, the 'pregnancy glow' was just a bit more natural flush on my cheeks and hair feeling thicker. Maybe it's all those good hormones working their magic. But everyone's experience is different, so no two glows are exactly alike!
Honestly, I never felt like I had a 'pregnancy glow'. I was always tired, nauseous, and my skin had breakouts. It's okay if you don't feel it too. Every pregnancy is different, and it doesn't mean you're not doing great.
Pregnancy glow? What's that? I think my wife had more of a 'sleep-deprived zombie' glow in the last trimester, haha. But seriously, it's supposed to be that radiant look expectant mothers get. Maybe I just missed it through all the midnight cravings and back rubs!
The pregnancy glow can be nice, but some people, especially with PCOS, might experience more skin issues during pregnancy due to hormonal fluctuations. It's not always a perfect glow for everyone, so don't feel bad if your skin isn't 'glowing'. Just focus on health and comfort.
Initially, I was worried I wouldn't get the 'glow' everyone talks about, and then suddenly around my second trimester, my skin felt amazing and I looked so fresh. It's often due to increased blood flow and hormones. So, don't worry if it doesn't happen right away, it can kick in later!
