What is female pattern hair loss?

My hair has been thinning a lot, especially at the top and around the parting. My mother also has thin hair. My parlour lady suggested it might be 'female pattern hair loss.' What exactly is that, and is there anything I can do?

It's basically when women lose hair, mostly from the top of their head, in a specific pattern. But don't just self-diagnose or try some random 'cures' online. Get it properly checked by a dermatologist, they know best.

Oh, that's like when your hair starts getting thin, especially on top, but it's not like full bald patches, you know? Don't stress too much about it, many women face it. Just talk to a good dermatologist, they'll guide you.

It's when your hair begins to thin primarily from the top of your head, often due to hormonal shifts. While medical advice is important, I've found that regular pranayama and a balanced diet can support overall hair health. Gentle care is key.

My sister-in-law had this. It's where the hair thins out on the top and crown, not like male baldness. We tried different oils and massages, but ultimately, she had to see a skin specialist for proper treatment. It's better to consult early.

Haan, it's common for women, especially after a certain age or due to hormonal changes. The hair near the parting starts to thin. I've heard regular oiling and a good diet help, but a doctor can tell you exact cause and solution.
