What is contraction in pregnancy?

I'm pregnant with my first baby and sometimes I feel a tightening in my belly. My friend said it might be 'contractions.' What exactly are contractions in pregnancy, and how do I know if they are real labor or just Braxton Hicks?

Contractions are basically when your uterus tightens up and then relaxes. It feels like a cramping or hardening sensation. They're a normal part of pregnancy, especially as you get closer to your due date, preparing your body for labor.

Contractions are like a deep muscle tightening in your belly, often starting and ending rhythmically. Focusing on your breath, deep inhales and slow exhales, can really help you navigate through them. It's your body working its magic.

Bro, contractions are like your stomach muscles getting super tight and then relaxing. It's basically your body getting ready for the baby to come out. My sister just went through it, sounds intense!

Contractions are the body's natural way of preparing for new life, a powerful process. Stay positive, mama, connect with your inner strength, and trust your body. Keep your mind calm and listen to your doctor.

Contractions? Ah, that's when your body decides to give you a sneak peek of what giving birth feels like, only repeatedly, and with varying intensity. Sleep? What's sleep when you're busy counting those! 😴 But seriously, it's the uterus tightening up.

Oh, I just had my baby a few months ago! Contractions felt like really strong period cramps that come and go. Sometimes they were irregular (Braxton Hicks), but once they got regular and stronger, I knew it was time for labor. Your doctor will tell you what to look out for.

Contractions, it's just your womb getting ready. It squeezes, then relaxes. Happens in waves. Keep track of them, the doc will ask. Don't get tensed, it's normal procedure.

Contractions are the tightening and relaxing of the uterine muscles. There's 'false labor' (Braxton Hicks) and true labor contractions. Don't rely on random internet explanations for something this important; ask your gynaecologist for a proper understanding and guidance.
