What is considered high bp in pregnancy?

My doctor mentioned checking my BP regularly since I'm pregnant. What numbers specifically are considered high BP in pregnancy? I want to be informed.

Hey, don't stress too much about it, but usually doctors say 140/90 or higher is high BP. Keep a simple home BP monitor with you just to check occasionally. Stressing will only make the numbers jump, so take a deep breath and relax, okay?

Doctors flag 140/90 as high. If your doctor asks you to monitor it daily, buy a decent digital BP machine online during sales, it is much cheaper than visiting the local clinic daily for readings. Also, plan your monthly budget for regular urine tests and scans that doctors suggest if BP is slightly up.

Yes, 140/90 is indeed considered high BP in pregnancy. Just make sure to rest for 5 minutes before taking a reading so you get an accurate result.

I am not a doctor, but during my second trimester, my BP hit 145/95 and my gynecologist immediately put me on mild pregnancy-safe BP medicines. They also checked my urine for protein to make sure everything was fine. Definitely consult your doctor about your specific numbers.

My sister-in-law had this too, her readings were hovering around 142/92 which her doc classified as high. She was advised to take proper afternoon naps and avoid heavy lifting. Keep your doctor informed, they will guide you beautifully!

In our days, doctors would say anything above 140/90 needs care. While you must follow your doctor's medicine strictly, you can also have a cup of warm water with a little garlic or curry leaves in the morning, as it is traditionally believed to support heart health. Do not skip your checkups, child.

I know how scary it feels when you see a reading above 140/90. I used to cry thinking it would harm my baby, but my doctor reassured me that with proper medication, babies are born perfectly healthy. It is very common, so please go easy on yourself.

Normally, 140 over 90 is the mark where doctors start taking extra precautions. Just stay positive, eat simple food, and trust the process. Everything will go smoothly if you keep a calm mind and follow your doctor's advice.
