When my wife was expecting, her doctor told us that 140/90 is the cutoff where we need to be very alert. We had to cut down on extra salt in salads and pickles immediately. Regular monitoring at home with a digital monitor really helped us keep track before her weekly checkups.

During pregnancy, anything above 140/90 mmHg is generally flagged as high blood pressure by doctors. Make sure you check it sitting down and relaxed, not right after climbing stairs. Please keep a small logbook of your daily readings and show it to your gynaecologist during every visit.

Usually, doctors consider 140 systolic or 90 diastolic as high during these months. Along with your regular medicines, practicing very gentle Anulom Vilom for ten minutes can help calm the nervous system. Just sit comfortably and breathe slowly, it keeps the mind and body very relaxed.

Actually, my sister went through this last year and her doc said 140/90 is high BP. If it touches that mark, don't ignore it yaar, just call your clinic. High BP during pregnancy is super common but needs proper monitoring so things don't get stressful later.

Medically, 140 over 90 is considered high when you are pregnant. Apart from whatever your doctor prescribes, try to avoid processed vegetarian foods like papads, pickles, and packed soups which have hidden sodium. Focus on fresh coconut water and home-cooked, low-salt meals to stay safe.

Yes, 140/90 is the standard high range during pregnancy. Since I have thyroid, my doctor was extra cautious and made me get blood tests and BP checks every fortnight. Please stay in touch with your obstetrician and get all your regular lab work done on time.

The standard medical threshold is 140/90 mmHg. If your reading is hitting or crossing this, don't wait for your next monthly appointment, just book a quick consult. Also, if you ever feel sudden headaches or blurry vision, go to the emergency room immediately.
