What is considered a geriatric pregnancy?

My cousin is trying for a baby and she's in her late 30s. Her doctor mentioned 'geriatric pregnancy' and it sounded a bit concerning. Just curious to know what exactly is considered geriatric in this context?

Honestly, it is just a scary medical term for pregnancy after 35! My cousin had her first baby at 37 and both of them are super healthy and happy. Just stay positive and enjoy the journey! 😊

My doctor explained that the risk of gestational diabetes and high BP goes up after age 35, which is why they call it advanced maternal age or geriatric. She had me do regular anomaly scans and NIPT tests just to be safe. It is mostly about extra screening rather than actual complications.

In our days we didn't have such complicated words, but yes, conceiving after 35 needs extra care. Keep your body cool with coconut water and curd rice, and don't take any stress. But do consult your family doctor regularly to monitor everything.

When we were planning, our doctor at Kokilaben hospital told us that age 35 and above is medically labeled this way. Don't read random things online because it will only cause panic. Please go to a good gynecologist and let them guide you step-by-step.

Basically, doctors flag it if the mother is 35 or older at the time of delivery. I track my wife's health stats on our smart ring, and keeping an eye on blood pressure and active minutes really helps keep things under control. It is very manageable with modern tracking.

I had my daughter at 38 and faced the same tag on my medical files. It felt a bit hurtful at first, but honestly, the doctors just want to be extra careful with you. Just take your folic acid, walk daily, and don't let the technical terms scare you.

I totally understand the anxiety around this term, as I went through it at 36. Along with the regular checkups, I found that drinking warm milk with a little saffron and eating soaked almonds daily helped with my energy levels. Just take it one day at a time, your body is stronger than you think.
