What is a good vitamin for diabetics?

My doctor recently recommended that I take some vitamins because I have diabetes, but I'm not sure which ones are important. He just said 'for general health'. What is a good vitamin for diabetics that can help manage the condition?

I know how terrifying it is when you are first diagnosed and you feel like your whole body is weak. Vitamin B12 is often highly recommended, especially if you are taking metformin, as it can cause B12 deficiency. Take a deep breath, with the right supplements, your energy levels will recover.

When you have both diabetes and high blood pressure, maintaining vascular health is critical. Vitamin C and Vitamin D are excellent for blood vessels, but they must be balanced with your daily blood pressure medicines. Keep tracking your vitals regularly at home.

Since we follow a strict vegetarian diet, getting enough Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D can be quite difficult, and both are crucial for nerve health in diabetics. However, don't start self-medicating with heavy multi-vitamins as some contain added sugars or fillers. Ask your dietitian for clean, veg options.

Actually yaar, Vitamin D3 is super important for insulin sensitivity, and almost all of us are deficient because we sit in AC offices all day. Get a simple blood test done first. Don't just pop pills randomly, check with your doctor for the right weekly dosage.

My feet have started tingling a lot lately and my doctor said it could be diabetic neuropathy. Did anyone else get prescribed methylcobalamin or Vitamin B12 for this? I am really nervous about this tingling sensation and hope it goes away.
