What is a false positive pregnancy test?

My period is late, so I took a pregnancy test, and it showed positive, but I'm having doubts. My husband thinks it might be a false positive. What causes a false positive pregnancy test, is it very common?

I had a false positive once because of a fertility medicine I was taking. It showed two lines but the blood test came back negative, which was a roller coaster for me.

It means the test strip shows you are pregnant when you actually are not. This can happen due to chemical pregnancies or reading the test too late.

It is a test result that incorrectly indicates pregnancy. While you figure this out with your doctor, keep up with gentle exercise or walking to manage stress levels.

A false positive can sometimes happen due to early pregnancy loss or specific ovarian issues. I highly recommend getting a blood hCG test done at a clinic to be absolutely sure.

Yaar, don't stress too much! False positives are actually super rare, and usually happen if the kit is expired or you read it after too long. Just try another brand.

A false positive is a misleading test result. With health matters, it is always wise to get proper clinical checkups instead of relying solely on home testing kits.
