What ingredient in shampoo causes hair loss?

Lately, I've noticed more hair falling out than usual, and I'm starting to worry it might be my shampoo. Someone told me certain chemicals can cause hair loss. What ingredient in shampoo is commonly linked to causing hair loss?

Sulfates and parabens get all the blame, but honestly, stress about losing hair is the biggest ingredient causing hair fall! Just buy a mild, sulfate-free shampoo and stop counting every single hair in the bathroom drain.

My grandmother always tells me to use shikakai and reetha instead of chemical shampoos to prevent hair fall. Still, harsh ingredients like sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) can dry your scalp. If you have severe hair fall, it is better to consult a dermatologist.

Shampoos with heavy sulfates (SLS) and certain strong preservatives can irritate the scalp and weaken hair roots. Just switch to a basic, gentle baby shampoo or any mild daily-use shampoo. It is cheaper and much safer for your hair.

Sulfates, formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, and artificial fragrances can cause scalp irritation leading to hair thinning. If you have a busy routine, just look for 'sulfate-free' on the label when buying shampoo. It saves time and prevents chemical damage.

I noticed severe hair thinning when I was using shampoos high in sodium chloride and sulfates. Once I switched to a mild, organic shampoo with minimal chemicals, my scalp health improved a lot. This is just what worked for me personally.
