What illness causes hair loss?

My hair has been falling out quite a lot recently, and it's making me really worried. I'm trying to figure out if there's an underlying illness that might be causing this hair loss.

Haar loss, haan? Meri bhi abhi ho rahi hai, lagta hai 'age' naam ki bimari hai! Jokes aside, thyroid problems, iron deficiency, and sometimes even stress can cause it. Better check with a doc instead of buying all those expensive oils like I did.

Many things can cause hair loss. Common ones include hormonal imbalances like thyroid issues or PCOS, nutritional deficiencies (iron, vitamin D), autoimmune diseases, and even severe stress. It's not one single illness, so a proper diagnosis from a dermatologist or endocrinologist is essential.

Hair loss can be due to many reasons, not always a 'disease'. Sometimes it's just stress or poor diet. But medical reasons can be thyroid issues, iron deficiency, or even some medicines. Best thing is to get a general checkup done. They can identify if it's something simple or more serious.

I can't give medical advice, but from my own experience, after I had a really bad fever, my hair started falling out a lot. The doctor said it was 'telogen effluvium' because of the body stress. So yeah, even temporary illnesses can cause it. Just sharing my story, not advice.

Oh, this makes me so anxious! I always worry about hair loss. There are so many possibilities. It could be thyroid, or a vitamin deficiency, or even PCOS in women. Or sometimes just stress! It's so confusing. Please don't just guess; consult a doctor to find out the real reason.

Hair fall can be upsetting. While good hair oil massages and a diet with lots of greens can help, if it's excessive, it's not just a 'natural' thing. Sometimes it's a sign of low iron, or some other internal issue. If home remedies don't work, best to see a doctor for proper diagnosis, don't ignore it.

Namaste! Hair loss can indeed be a sign of underlying health issues. Common culprits include thyroid disorders (both hyper and hypo), iron deficiency anemia, PCOS in women, and even certain autoimmune conditions. Don't self-diagnose. A doctor can run tests and pinpoint the exact cause for you. Take care.

Trust me, I've been there. My hair was falling out like crazy. Turns out, it was my thyroid acting up. Also, after COVID, I had a lot of hair loss, which the doctor said was temporary. So yes, hormonal issues, deficiencies like Vitamin D and Iron, stress, and even major illnesses can cause it. Get your blood tests done.
