What helps with nausea and vomiting during pregnancy?

My sister is pregnant and suffering a lot from nausea and vomiting, especially in the mornings. She’s trying ginger, but it's not enough. Are there any other tips or tricks that helped you manage these symptoms during pregnancy?

While I don't have direct experience with pregnancy nausea, I know how sensitive one's body can be to hormonal changes. For any kind of persistent nausea and vomiting, especially during pregnancy, please consult your gynaecologist. They can suggest safe and effective solutions, as every pregnancy is unique.

Oh, pregnancy nausea and vomiting can be so worrying! I used to fret if my baby was getting enough nutrients. It's absolutely normal to feel anxious, but know that doctors are very familiar with this. Focus on managing your symptoms and trusting your healthcare provider. You're doing great just by asking for help.

It's so hard to go through that constant nausea and vomiting, especially when you're trying to grow a baby. I felt so drained and honestly, a bit depressed at times. It's okay to feel miserable; it's a really tough phase. Just focus on small victories, like keeping even a little bit of food down.

My wife had severe morning sickness during both pregnancies. We found that eating very small, bland meals every couple of hours helped. Ginger candies and sips of cold lemonade were also a godsend. And ensure she's getting enough rest. It passes, but it's tough while it lasts.

My gynaecologist explained that sometimes a combination of Vitamin B6 and an antihistamine like Doxylamine is prescribed for severe pregnancy nausea and vomiting. She also stressed avoiding strong smells, staying well-hydrated with clear fluids, and eating bland, frequent meals. But always get a prescription and specific advice from your own doctor.
