What health problems cause hair loss?

I've noticed a lot more hair falling out recently, especially when I shower. My dad said it could be stress, but someone else mentioned it might be related to other health problems. Is there something else I should be checking for?

Yaar, honestly, hair loss can be due to so many things. Like, actual medical conditions like thyroid issues, PCOD for girls, ya even severe iron deficiency. Stress is a big factor too, mere saath bhi hua hai. Best to get blood tests done, actually.

From a medical standpoint, hair loss (alopecia) can be caused by various factors. My doctor explained that common culprits include hormonal imbalances (e.g., thyroid disorders, PCOS), nutritional deficiencies (iron, vitamin D, B12), severe stress (telogen effluvium), autoimmune conditions, and certain medications. A proper diagnosis is crucial.

Look, if you're experiencing significant hair loss, it's often more than just a bad shampoo. Get your hormones checked (thyroid, PCOD for women), check your vitamin levels (D, B12, Iron). Stress and genetics play a big role too. See a dermatologist, they'll know exactly what to test for.

For me, I noticed a lot of hair fall after a very stressful period in my life. And then later, during pregnancy, too. So, personally, I feel stress and hormonal changes have a big impact. I can't tell you about medical issues, but my experience points to these.

Oh, I totally get this concern. I used to try so many hair oils and masks! But then I realized it was my low iron. So, yes, nutrient deficiencies like iron, B vitamins, and Vitamin D are big culprits. Also, PCOD in women is very common. Don't hesitate to get blood tests done.

Speaking from my PCOS experience, hormonal imbalances are a huge cause for hair thinning and loss. It's not just PCOS though, thyroid issues also affect it greatly. It's really complex, so please don't just try home remedies without a proper diagnosis. Get tested.

Hey, don't stress too much about it, but it's super common for health issues to cause hair loss. Hormonal stuff like thyroid or PCOD, low iron, or even just crazy stress can do it. Just get a quick check-up with a doctor, they'll guide you better than Dr. Google!

Haan ji, hairfall ke kai reasons hote hain. Stress toh common hai hi, na? Lekin uske alawa, anemia, thyroid ki problem, vitamin D ki kami, yeh sab bhi ho sakta hai. Kabhi kabhi toh fever ke baad bhi bohot hairfall hota hai. Doc ko dikha lo ek baar, achha rahega.

This question comes up often, and for good reason. Hair loss can be a signpost for internal health. Thyroid issues, PCOD, anaemia, and even chronic stress are very common causes. It’s always practical to consult a dermatologist or an endocrinologist to get to the root of it. Don't delay.

Being someone with thyroid issues, I can tell you that it's a major cause of hair loss. When my thyroid levels are off, my hair thins a lot. So, definitely get your thyroid function tested. Regular follow-ups with your doctor are key to managing it.

My fitness tracker actually warns me about stress levels impacting overall health, and hair is no exception. Beyond that, hormonal imbalances (think thyroid or PCOD), and vitamin deficiencies (like Vit D or B12) are frequently highlighted as causes. Always cross-reference with actual medical advice, of course.

Please, please get it checked. I ignored my hair loss for too long, thinking it was just normal, and it turned out to be a severe vitamin deficiency that could have been handled sooner. Don't make my mistake; see a doctor and get proper tests done quickly.

As someone managing diabetes, I've learned that overall health affects everything. Sometimes, uncontrolled sugar levels can also impact hair health indirectly. But usually, specific conditions like thyroid problems or severe deficiencies are direct causes. It's best to consult a specialist for a precise answer.
