What happens if you don't sleep for 3 days?

I heard a story about someone who stayed awake for three days straight, and it sounded really serious. What actually happens to your body if you don't sleep for that long, like 72 hours?

If you haven't slept for 3 days, you are basically operating at a level similar to being legally drunk. Your reaction times are shot, and you will make massive mistakes at work. Take a sick leave immediately, do not drive, and get some sleep.

At my age, even missing 3 hours of sleep makes me feel like a zombie, so 3 days sounds like a nightmare! You will probably start seeing things that aren't there and talking to walls. Please shut down your brain before it shuts down on you.

This is extremely critical. After 3 days of no sleep, I started experiencing severe heart palpitations and had to be taken to the emergency room. Please don't take this lightly and consult a doctor immediately to help you sleep safely.

I once ignored extreme sleeplessness for three days thinking it would pass, and ended up collapsing with high blood pressure. Don't make the same mistake I did. Go get yourself checked by a doctor today to find out what is causing this.

If you don't resolve this, you might end up needing expensive neurological tests or emergency hospital care, which will easily cost 10,000 to 15,000 rupees. It is much cheaper to visit a general physician at a local clinic today and get a simple prescription to help you rest.

Your muscles will feel totally drained and your immune system will be at its lowest after 3 days. Do not even think about gym or exercise today as your body has no recovery capacity. If your doctor permits, just rest in bed and let your heart rate settle down.

I was reading some articles about sleep deprivation and apparently after 72 hours, your brain starts having micro-sleeps where you zone out for seconds without realizing it. It is actually super dangerous. Hope you are able to get some rest very soon.

Three days of no sleep can completely disrupt your endocrine system and hormones, which is very risky. I know how scary it feels when your body refuses to rest. Please seek some medical support because this is too much for your body to handle alone.
