What happens if u sleep on a concussion?

My younger brother fell off his bike yesterday and hit his head. The doctor said he has a mild concussion. My mother is worried and keeps saying not to let him sleep. Is it really bad if you sleep on a concussion? What happens?

I had a minor fall and went straight to sleep, which delayed the discovery of a small internal hematoma. It became a serious complication that required intense monitoring later. Please don't sleep until a doctor has examined you.

Sleeping immediately after a head injury can be super risky, yaar. Actually, you might not realize if the symptoms are getting worse while you are asleep. Get checked at a clinic first, then sleep peacefully.

I totally get it, you must be feeling incredibly tired and just want to rest your eyes after a hard hit. But please have someone watch over you or go to the ER first just to make sure everything is okay inside.

Don't waste time waiting at home if you have a suspected concussion. Go to an urgent care clinic immediately to get evaluated so you can safely return to work and rest without any worries.

A basic ER consultation is much cheaper than managing a critical head injury complication later on. Get a doctor to check you before sleeping, so you don't end up spending lakhs on emergency surgeries later.

It is always best to let a doctor check your head before you take a long nap! 🏨 Once they give you the green light, sleeping actually helps your brain recover. Take care!
