What happens if u have a heart attack?

My father recently had some chest pain and it got us all very scared. Thankfully, it wasn't a heart attack. But it made me wonder, what actually happens to the body during a heart attack? What are the immediate effects?

If you are having crushing chest pain that travels to your arm, it is definitely not gas from yesterday's chole bhature. A heart attack is a major emergency that stops blood flow to your heart. Call an ambulance immediately and don't try to walk it off.

I survived a massive heart attack but suffered severe heart muscle damage because I delayed going to the hospital by three hours. Every single minute counts during a heart attack. If you feel sudden chest pain or heavy pressure, go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

A heart attack can happen suddenly, causing severe chest tightness, sweating, and shortness of breath. If you or anyone near you experiences this, please call the emergency helpline right away and reach the nearest cardiac care hospital.

During a heart attack, a blocked artery prevents oxygen-rich blood from reaching the heart muscle. It requires immediate medical intervention like clot-dissolving meds or angioplasty. If you suspect one, call an ambulance and chew a standard aspirin if advised by emergency services.

I once rushed to the ER screaming thinking I was having a heart attack, but it turned out to be severe acidity and panic. Still, doctors told me it is always better to be safe than sorry with chest pain. If it is a real heart attack, emergency treatment saves lives.

I had a heart attack just six months ago while working at my desk. The pain felt like an elephant sitting on my chest, accompanied by cold sweats. Getting to the ICU quickly is the only reason I am alive and typing this today. Go to the hospital immediately.

My dad had a heart attack last year. He suddenly started sweating profusely and complained of a heavy weight on his chest. We got him to the hospital within 20 minutes and they put in a stent, which saved his life. Don't waste time if you see these signs.
