What happens if someone has a heart attack?

My husband's grandfather recently had a heart attack and it was very sudden. It made me wonder, what actually happens to the body when someone has a heart attack? Is it always very painful?

I ignored a heavy feeling in my chest thinking it was just gas, and it turned out to be a major heart attack that permanently damaged my heart muscle. If someone has chest pain radiating to the arm or heavy sweating, do not wait for home remedies. Take them to the nearest emergency room immediately.

Dude, a heart attack is a massive medical emergency. The blood supply to the heart gets blocked, and every minute matters because heart cells start dying. Call an ambulance or rush them to the hospital hospital straight away, don't waste time on WhatsApp hacks.

Look, if someone is having a heart attack, their life is in danger. Make them sit down comfortably, give them a dispersible aspirin pill if they aren't allergic, and drive them to a cardiac hospital immediately. Do not sit and wait for the family doctor to call back.

I once rushed my uncle to the hospital thinking he was having a heart attack because of sudden sweating and chest tightness, but it was just a severe panic attack. Still, the doctors told us we did the right thing. It is always better to panic and go to the ER than to ignore a real heart attack.

When my father had a heart attack at home, we kept our calm and immediately called the hospital ambulance. Please ensure you know CPR, as it can save a life if the patient loses consciousness before reaching the hospital. Keep praying and act quickly.

A heart attack can cause cardiac arrest within minutes if the blockage is severe. You need to get them to a cath-lab enabled hospital immediately for an angiogram and angioplasty. Keep the emergency numbers handy and don't try to manage this at home.
