What happens if a type 2 diabetic doesn't eat?

My mother has Type 2 diabetes and sometimes she just isn't able to eat much, especially when she's stressed. I worry about her sugar levels. What happens if a Type 2 diabetic doesn't eat for an extended period?

If a diabetic skips meals, their blood sugar can drop dangerously low, especially if they are on medication. You can keep some honey or a piece of jaggery ready for emergencies. But if you start shivering or feel extremely weak, please consult your doctor immediately.

I skipped dinner last night because of work and woke up feeling like a zombie, so I can only imagine how bad it is for a diabetic. Your sugar levels will crash and you will feel totally cranky and shaky. Seriously, don't play around with fasting; eat something small on time.

The body is a temple and needs timely fuel to function in harmony. Fasting or skipping food when you have diabetes can disturb your system's balance and cause sudden weakness. Take care of your health, eat simple meals on time, and keep your mind peaceful.

My granddad is type 2 and if he misses his lunch even by an hour, he gets super shaky and angry. His doctor told us that skipping meals is a big no-no when you are on diabetes meds. Better to keep some snacks like roasted chana nearby just in case.

I manage both high blood pressure and diabetes, and let me tell you, routine is everything. If you don't eat, your body goes into stress mode, which can spike both your BP and crash your glucose. Please do your daily sugar checks and maintain a consistent eating schedule.
