What happens during sleep?

Sometimes I wake up feeling very tired, almost like I haven't slept at all. I was wondering what goes on in our bodies and minds when we are sleeping? Is it just 'switching off'?

When we sleep, our body goes into repair mode, fixing tissues and sorting memories. You don't need fancy sleep gadgets to get good rest. Just turning off the TV an hour early and keeping a comfortable mattress works wonders for most of us.

Haan, sleep ke time body aur brain dono relax hote hain aur energy restore karte hain. Deep sleep aur REM cycles critical hote hain hamari health ke liye na. Agar regular neend nahi aa rahi, toh medical checkup karvana best hai.

As a diabetic, I know that during sleep, our body regulates hormone levels, which directly affects insulin and blood sugar. Sleeping on time is just as important as eating right. If your sleep is erratic, your morning fasting sugar levels can go completely out of whack.

Your body does all its healing work when you sleep, which is why a warm cup of chamomile tea helps settle the nerves before bed. It is a great natural way to sleep better. But if you have chronic insomnia or breathing issues at night, please see a doctor.

Sleep is when the body naturally recovers, saving you from future medical bills. If you are having severe sleep disorders, going for a sleep study can be a bit expensive, so it is wise to check which labs offer reasonable rates. Plan ahead and talk to a government hospital doctor first.

Listen, sleep is not a luxury, it is when your body cleans up all the daily waste from your system. Stop scrolling on your phone till midnight and let your eyes rest. If you still can't sleep despite trying, stop ignoring it and go visit a clinic.
