What foods to eat with gestational diabetes?

I'm pregnant and was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I'm very careful about what I eat, but I need to make sure I'm still getting enough nutrients. What are the best foods to eat with gestational diabetes?

I logged every single meal on my tracker when I had this. Stick to complex carbs like steel-cut oats, ragi, and loads of raw veggies, and try to walk for 15 minutes right after your meals to keep the spikes away.

I know how scary it feels when you see that high sugar report during pregnancy, but please take a deep breath. Focus on eating sprouts, paneer, and eggs, and remember this is temporary and highly manageable.

Focus on high-fiber foods and proteins like chana, paneer, and green vegetables, and avoid sweets completely.

My wife had both high BP and gestational diabetes. Along with eating small, low-salt, low-carb meals, please keep checking your sugar levels daily at home and update your doctor regularly.

Make sure you split your meals into 5-6 small portions instead of 3 big ones to avoid sudden sugar spikes. Include good proteins like boiled eggs or dal, and always carry a small packet of nuts with you.

I had both thyroid and gestational diabetes during my pregnancy. Regular fasting and post-prandial blood sugar tests are absolutely critical, so please follow your gynecologist's testing schedule closely.

Honestly, waking up at night with crazy cravings and not being able to eat chocolate is torture. I just eat some peanut butter on a slice of whole-wheat bread and call it a day. Stay strong, moms!

Pregnancy is already tiring, and then they tell you to stop eating potatoes and mangoes! I survived on roasted chana, curd, and loads of cucumbers. It's a test of patience, but you can do it.
