What foods to eat and avoid with type 2 diabetes?

I was just diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and it feels like a big change. I need to know what to eat to keep my sugar in check and what things I absolutely shouldn't touch. Can you give me some guidance?

I totally get it, trying to figure out what to eat can feel so confusing when you are first diagnosed. Try to focus on eating green leafy vegetables, sprouts, and whole grains while avoiding white sugar, maida, and sweet juices. Just take it one meal at a time, you've got this.

Honestly, cutting out midnight noodles and sweet coffees is the toughest part when you have high sugar. I started eating roasted chana and boiled eggs in my hostel room instead of junk food. It's cheap, easy, and keeps my glucose from spiking.

Actually, managing this is not that hard if you track your meals, yaar. Just avoid those sweet bakery items and white rice, and eat more ragi or oats. Simple ghar ka khana is the best way to keep your blood sugar in control.

I completely agree with the advice. Avoiding sugary soft drinks and sweet tea is the most effective first step for diabetic control.

I completely understand how hard it is to skip sweets and junk food when you are out with friends. I started choosing roasted nuts or sprouts instead of deep-fried pakodas when snacking. Making small, practical changes in your daily diet is much easier to stick to long-term.

The hardest part of diabetes is telling your favorite dessert that you are breaking up with them! Just avoid those tempting pastries and deep-fried samosas, and embrace leafy green salads instead. Your body will definitely appreciate the healthy upgrade!

Avoid refined sugar and white flour, and focus on high-fiber foods like oats and lentils. This simple shift is highly effective for managing type 2 diabetes.

I managed to bring my HbA1c down from 8.2 to 5.8 recently by strictly avoiding white rice, maida, and sugary drinks. I replaced them with high-protein meals like paneer, dal, and plenty of green vegetables. Consistency is key, and the results are absolutely worth the effort.

Cut out the sugary sodas, white bread, and processed food immediately if you want to control type 2 diabetes. Focus on a high-protein, high-fiber diet with plenty of vegetables and complex carbs. Keep your nutrition clean, simple, and stay physically active.

I used to panic and completely stop eating rice, thinking my health was ruined forever. But once I relaxed, I realized that just avoiding deep-fried snacks, soft drinks, and refined sugar is more than enough. Eating balanced, normal meals actually keeps your sugar stable.
