What foods to avoid with an underactive thyroid?

I have an underactive thyroid and sometimes feel very tired. My doctor advised me to watch my diet, so I'm looking for a list of foods I should avoid to help manage my condition.

Dekho, simple baat hai. Raw cabbage, cauliflower, aur extra soy items se door raho, ye thyroid medication ke kaam me rukawat dalte hain. Aur subah ki dawa khali pet lene ke baad kam se kam ek ghanta kuch mat khao. Bas ye dhyan rakho, sab control me rahega.

I have helped many people in this group with underactive thyroid. You should avoid eating raw cruciferous vegetables and processed soy foods. Also, ensure there is a gap of at least 4 hours between your thyroid pill and any calcium or iron supplements.

Avoid processed soy and gluten-heavy foods as they can sometimes worsen inflammation with hypothyroid. Along with avoiding these, try incorporating 30 minutes of brisk walking or light exercise daily if your doctor allows. It really helps boost a slow metabolism.

My teenage daughter has an underactive thyroid, so we are very careful about her diet. We completely stopped giving her raw cabbage salads and soy milk. It takes a little planning, but cooking the veggies properly makes them much safer to consume in moderation.

I have been dealing with hypothyroidism for two years now, and I completely understand how frustrating the slow metabolism is. I avoided raw cabbage, broccoli, and processed foods, which helped reduced my bloating. Just take your medication regularly and eat cooked, warm meals.

In a vegetarian diet, we often rely on soy for protein, but with an underactive thyroid, you must limit soy chunk and tofu intake. Be very careful to thoroughly cook cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower to deactivate the goitrogens. A planned diet chart is very helpful.

Avoiding soy and raw broccoli is good, but the most important thing is tracking. I get my TSH levels checked every 3 months without fail. Make sure you follow up with your doctor regularly to adjust your daily hormone dosage based on your reports.

Please don't worry too much about it. Just avoiding raw cabbage and taking your medicine on time will help keep your levels stable.
