What foods reduce acidity in the stomach?

Been suffering from acidity quite often these days, especially after meals. My mother suggested some home remedies, but I want to know about foods that can specifically reduce stomach acidity.

Look, if you want to stop acidity, first stop eating spicy pickles, heavy fried food, and late-night snacks. Drinking cold milk or eating a ripe banana provides instant relief to the burning sensation. Eat on time and keep your dinner light; that is the real solution.

I tracked my meals and noticed that high-fat foods and black coffee on an empty stomach were major acidity triggers. Adding coconut water, fennel seeds (saunf) water, and cold curd to my routine helped balance my gut pH. Try logging your food to find your specific triggers.

Along with sheetali pranayama, having a glass of fresh buttermilk with a pinch of roasted cumin after lunch cooling the stomach beautifully. Eating simple, non-spicy 'sattvik' food cooked with minimal oil is the most natural way to keep acidity away forever.

I love spicy street food but my stomach pays the price! To balance the acidity, I swear by a glass of cold sweet lassi or sweet lime juice (mosambi). It acts like a fire extinguisher for the stomach so I can survive my food cravings, haha!

Actually, skipping meals because of hectic work schedules is the main reason for acidity, yaar. Having a banana or a glass of cold milk immediately calms the burning. Also, try avoiding super spicy shezwan chutney and oily vada pav for a few days!

Buying antacids constantly is just a waste of money when you have free remedies at home. Fennel seeds (saunf) and cold curd are cheap, effective, and readily available in every kitchen. Cut down on outside tea and coffee to save both your stomach and your wallet.
