What foods help liver function?

My doctor recently mentioned that my liver enzymes are a bit high. He advised me to eat healthy. Can anyone suggest what foods are good for liver health?

Please don't blindly start eating whatever people suggest online for liver health. Every body reacts differently and half of these detox drinks are just marketing gimmicks. Get a simple liver function test done and show it to a proper doctor before making any big diet changes.

Honestly, after all my weekend parantha sessions, I try to balance things out during the week with some green tea and garlic. My mom says adding a little haldi to food also helps detoxify. But let's be real, cutting down on the heavy oily stuff is the main thing we need to do first!

Adding fresh apples and green leafy veggies to your daily plate is super amazing for the liver! 🍏 I also try to drink warm water with lemon in the morning. Keep smiling and eat clean, your body will surely thank you!

I find eating amla and drinking plenty of warm water throughout the day very helpful for digestion and liver strength. Homemade buttermilk with a pinch of jeera is also excellent. But please remember, if you have actual pain or yellowing of the eyes, skip the home tips and visit a doctor immediately.

Since I have diabetes, I have to be very careful with fruit juices recommended for liver health because they spike my blood sugar. Instead, I stick to whole fibrous foods like methi, karela, and plenty of cucumbers. Always check how any new food fits into your overall sugar limits if you are managing insulin.

Even if we eat healthy foods like beetroot and broccoli, we cannot diagnose ourselves. I strongly feel you should get an ultrasound or LFT done first to see if everything is actually fine. Safety always comes first, so please consult a physician.
