What foods are good for thyroid problems?

My sister has been struggling with thyroid problems for a while now, and she's trying to manage it through diet too. What foods are generally good for thyroid problems? Any specific suggestions would be helpful for her.

Oh, thyroid problems can sound scary but don't panic! I used to stress so much. Turns out, things like eating enough iodine (from fish, dairy) and selenium (Brazil nuts, eggs) really help. Just keep it balanced and follow your doctor's advice, you'll be fine.

As someone managing BP, I know how important diet and regular health checks are. For thyroid issues, I've heard doctors often recommend adding selenium-rich foods like Brazil nuts and ensuring enough zinc from things like pumpkin seeds. But a proper checkup with a specialist is key.

Hi everyone, I'm new here and trying to understand more about this. So, foods with iodine and selenium are good? What about common Indian spices like turmeric, do they also help with thyroid problems?

Thyroid issues, huh? Sounds like your neck has its own tiny opinionated gland! Jokes aside, focusing on foods with iodine like seafood or iodised salt (but not too much!) and selenium from Brazil nuts can be helpful. Just don't go eating a whole bag of Brazil nuts, you might turn into a giant nut!

For thyroid, my nani used to say to eat fresh, ghar ka khaana. Some people find that a little bit of coconut oil can be beneficial, but it's more for general wellness. Make sure you get enough greens and protein. And always listen to what the doctor says, don't rely only on home remedies.
