Hepatitis A is transmitted through contaminated food or water, often due to poor hygiene. This can include uncooked shellfish, salads, or any food handled by an infected person who hasn't washed their hands properly.
My son had Hepatitis A, and the doctors said it was likely from contaminated street food or unwashed fruits. So, be very careful about where you eat, especially outside. Always wash fruits and vegetables properly and ensure good hygiene at home.
Hepatitis A is not *found* in food itself, but food can become a vehicle for the virus if it's contaminated. This usually happens when an infected person doesn't wash their hands well after using the toilet and then prepares food, or if produce is irrigated with contaminated water. Raw or undercooked foods are higher risk.
While my focus is usually PCOS, general health advice about food safety is always important. Hepatitis A comes from contaminated food and water, so it's critical to eat only clean, well-cooked food, and drink purified water. Be extra careful with street food.

I just recovered from Hepatitis A last year. For me, the doc suspected it was from a roadside pani puri stall. Seriously, avoid unhygienic street food, raw salads outside, and always drink filtered/boiled water. It's a nasty infection, take care!
