What eases constipation in pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester, and constipation is becoming a real problem, making me very uncomfortable. I don't want to take anything risky. What can help ease constipation safely during pregnancy?

Oh my god, this was SO me! I was constantly worried about it. Did anyone else feel like it just never went away no matter what they tried? It's really uncomfortable during pregnancy, haan?

Constipation is super common in pregnancy due to hormones and pressure. My doctor recommended increasing fiber intake a lot – fruits, veggies, whole grains. Also, drinking plenty of water throughout the day helps. And a little walk daily, if your doctor says it's okay, can also get things moving.

Simple funda: eat more fiber, drink a lot of water. If that's not enough, ask your doctor. Don't take any laxatives without their advice. Some things are not safe during pregnancy. Be practical and talk to your gynaecologist.

Okay, so generally, increasing dietary fiber and fluid intake is key. Things like prunes, figs, leafy greens, and whole grains. If that's not enough, your doctor might suggest a gentle stool softener like docusate or a bulk-forming laxative like psyllium, which are usually safe in pregnancy. Always check with your gynaecologist first!

I remember panicking about this constantly during my first pregnancy! But it's actually super normal. What really helped me was starting my day with a glass of warm water and lemon, and eating a small bowl of soaked chia seeds. Also, walking made a huge difference. Don't stress too much, it gets better!
