What does pregnancy fatigue feel like?

Since finding out I'm pregnant, I've been so incredibly tired that I can barely get through the day. It's different from normal tiredness. What does pregnancy fatigue actually feel like for most people?

It’s a literal physical shutdown where your eyelids feel like lead magnets by 2 PM. It is not something you can just caffeinate your way out of. Respect the signal, skip the late-night screens, and get some solid, uninterrupted sleep.

The fatigue feels like a deep heaviness in the nervous system. Practicing very gentle Shavasana and deep, slow diaphragmatic breathing can help restore your energy channels. Let your breath carry the oxygen your body is craving right now.

In our time, we called it the body's way of conserving strength for the baby. Drinking a warm glass of milk with a pinch of cardamom and almonds at night can give your body good strength. Take complete rest and don't lift heavy buckets or walk too fast.

It is a very deep, overwhelming tiredness that makes even talking feel like an effort. Please don't worry, it is a very normal part of growing your baby. Try to take as many cozy naps as you can.

Oh, it feels like you've been drugged with sleeping pills, honestly! I remember falling asleep on the sofa mid-conversation during my first trimester. Just be gentle with yourself, wear comfortable clothes, and sleep whenever your body asks for it.

It feels like a heavy exhaustion where even sitting on a chair feels tiring. A simple workable solution is to have small, frequent meals like a banana or some curd-rice to keep your blood sugar steady. Don't force yourself to do heavy housework during these weeks.

It is a natural state of quietude where the body demands rest to build a new soul. Do not fight this weariness or feel guilty about resting. Sleep with a calm mind, knowing that your body is performing a sacred task.

It feels like that deep, muscular fatigue after a heavy leg day, except you didn't even lift anything. Make sure you are getting enough clean protein and complex carbs to avoid energy crashes. If your doctor permits, a very light 15-minute walk can actually boost your energy levels.
